Description
Japanese Abstract Painting of Vertical Lines
An abstract painting featuring striking, colorful vertical lines like a waterfall: 【Waterfall of Colors】
Believing nature is the ultimate art, this irreproducible, one-of-a-kind piece was created using only stone and an unconscious hand.
The collection of colors, born from layers upon layers of paint and subsequent carving, will evoke different scenes in the viewer’s mind—sometimes like the sturdy trunk of a great tree, other times like a waterfall quietly flowing deep in the mountains.
Whether in a vibrant space or a minimalist room, where you place it is entirely up to you. The coordination possibilities are endless.
You can display it as is upon arrival, but we also recommend framing it in a gold frame for a luxurious finish.
If you’re unsure about which frame to choose, feel free to consult us anytime. (Available 24 hours)
・Artist: Izumi Tokita
・For coordinating interior decor to match the artwork, we recommend this option.
About the Artist Izumi Tokita
I have a son and a daughter. Instead of crying out, my son desperately tried to open his drooping eyes wide. He was trying to see his father’s face one last time. And quietly, the light of his life faded away. What saved me at the lowest point of my life was color, a language that needs no words. As I picked up the brush and faced countless paintings, a flash of light shot behind my eyelids. As if driven by something, I switched from pen to brush. It felt as though I was carrying on what my son had wanted to accomplish in this world.
Two years later, I founded Studio Sense. Now, raising a daughter who looks just like my son, I continue creating works brimming with “life.” Works that nourish the soul, just as painting saved me.
